Introduction
In an effort to reduce e-waste in Singapore, the National Environment Agency (NEA) is stepping up collaboration with industry stakeholders to increase collection channels and drop-off points for unwanted electronic products.
Very often, these electronic devices are faulty and beyond repair. They include:
- Desktop, laptop, mobile phones, printers, and accessories such as the keyboard, modems, monitors, etc.
- Home appliances such as TVs, refrigerators, air conditioners, washing machines, etcOthers include electronic toys, lighting devices.
Improper disposal of e-waste can lead to a long-term environmental issue, which will impact the well being of our health.
